Our Fire Camp Experience

After our Advanced Level Examination my friends and me planned a fire camp for get a change and remove exam mentality.

Our first challenge was to choose a suitable location. My village is very beautiful and have there are lot of natural places. So I remembered it and I proposed my idea to my friends.Finally, everyone liked my idea because it was better for our safety.After that we fixed a date.

On that day In the morning my friends came my home. Firstly we went to the our selected place to get some ideas for the fire camp. My friends had not seen that place previously.They were surprised to see the place because it was a very interesting place.There was a flowing stream with a beautiful jungle.Then we went to the jungle for collect fire woods. It gave us a good experience. One of my friend Manuri, slipped and fell in the jungle. It really made us have fun.Unknowingly time passed. We came back home to prepare for other works.


Little by little our time came. When it got dark we went to our place with the things we needed. Firstly we placed our tent and after packed firewood for the fire. Then we started having fun. The best moments in our fire camp started from there. We sang songs and danced with Ashan's drum beat. During that moment, our fire camp chef Praneeth, made our dinner and specially made chicken BBQ. They were very tasty. It was a bit of a cold day, but we didn't feel it because of the fire. We enjoyed very well.


We did not sleep that day night. Little by little the light fell. We came to the end of our fire camp.That morning we ate "Roti with Chilli Paste". After that we all bathed in the nearby stream. Finally we were ready to go back home.


We got a lot of experience. We could remove our exam mentality become of the fire camp. Our photographer was my friend Sangeeth. Finally he had a lot of beautiful memories.I love that beautiful day.

A Happy Holiday

Thisari, Senuri, Chamidu, Mohan, my sisters and I are a group of friends. We have a brotherhood that goes beyond friendship. So one day we decided to go for a swim in the stream around the house.  It's called "Ali Dola".  We went to the place on foot. Thissari's mother was also present for our protection. By the end of the rainy season, the water of the stream was very clean and the whole stream was full of water.  So we went for a swim that day very impatiently.  It has a large rocky plateau. First we took photos with that beautiful view. Then we started having fun and bathing. It took four or five hours. Gradually the hunger increased. Then I remembered home-cooked Cassava and Chilli Paste. It was a very clear day. So the sun was shining well on the rock. We were so hungry. We ate Cassava in wet clothes.
